The National Cancer Registry Ireland (NCRI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Sarah Abbott to its Board.

Sarah is Group Chief People Officer at Carbery Group and a member of the Group's Executive Leadership Team. She brings extensive international experience in organisational strategy, leadership and business transformation gained through senior roles across a range of global organisations.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Theresa Redaniel, Acting Director of the National Cancer Registry Ireland, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Sarah Abbott to the NCRI Board. Sarah brings a wealth of executive leadership experience and expertise in organisational transformation and strategic development. Her insights and experience will be a valuable asset to the Board as NCRI continues its mission to provide high-quality cancer intelligence that supports research, policy and better outcomes for people affected by cancer in Ireland."

Sarah's appointment further strengthens the breadth of expertise available to the NCRI Board as the organisation continues to provide trusted cancer data that informs cancer control, healthcare planning and research in Ireland.
